New White Boat #2 Covers Dive into a New Depth of Terror

White Boat #1, released last week, showcased a new mythological extreme of horror from the creative team of writer Scott Snyder & artist Francesco Francavilla (Batman). The Lovecraftian psychological mind-bender introduced a maritime journalist, Lee Derry, to a hulking ship and the bizarre secrets hidden deep in its hull—all leading to a bizarre island where a cult of the obscenely wealthy concoct crimes against science.

Everyone's taking the plunge.

"Scott Snyder and Francesco Francavilla work in tandem with finesse for a debut that gets better with each read. It’s a testament to what a perfect premiere should be," said Seth Romo from Pages and Panels. Chase Magnett of comicbook.com explained that, "It's difficult to imagine a better pedigree for a new horror series, which is why this promised vacation to hell still sounds like such an irresistible ticket.”

White Boat's ticket is far from punched. The journey continues this July in White Boat #2, another 48-page white-knuckle descent into clandestine history of dread. Today, DSTLRY debuts the first variant covers, and the artists—Massimo Carnevale, Song Kang, and Martin Morazzo—absolutely understood the assignment.
