Q: How do I order titles from Penguin Random House?

Q: When can I start ordering from Penguin Random House?
A: Single issues will start shipping in June with hardcovers to follow.
Q: Is this for single issues and collections?
A: This distribution deal is for both direct market and mass market distribution, including both single issues and collections.
Q: Is DSTLRY exclusive with Penguin Random House?
A: We’ll be moving our distribution business to PRH.
Q: I still have orders at Diamond that haven’t been fulfilled. What should I do?
A: All existing orders for products that have not shipped will be cancelled.
Q: Are you still offering returnability on the A covers of your first issues?
A: We currently plan to continue offering returnability, but we’re also looking at other options that benefit retailers and mitigate risk while retailers find your sales ceiling in your store for DSTLRY products.
Q: Will you still be facilitating retailer exclusive variant covers?
A: Yes! Please contact retailers@dstlry.co for more information about retailer exclusive variants.
Q: What discounts are you offering retailers ordering through Penguin Random House?
A: DSTLRY is following PRH’s standard terms of sale. Please contact them for more information.
Q: What are the shipping fees ordering from Penguin Random House?
A: Penguin Random House offers free shipping to retailers.
Q: Can comic shops in the United Kingdom order from Penguin Random House?
A: Yes. Please contact PRH for more information. Please note, that Diamond UK continues to sub-distribute DSTLRY titles and UK retailers can order from DUK also.
Q: Were DSTLRY orders with Diamond UK cancelled?
A: Yes, all front list orders were cancelled in the Diamond system, including Diamond UK (DUK’s). DUK purchases directly from PRH, so they will be handling all solicitations and order processing for their retailers via that relationship. DUK will not be purchasing DSTLRY books from Diamond US.
Q: If I am a retailer in Canada, can I order DSTLRY via Universal Distribution?
A: For those Canadian retailers who like to consolidate orders with Universal for publishers distributed by PRH , ordering DSTLRY via Universal is an option. Please contact your Universal rep for more information.
Q: Will any DSTLRY back-stock be available for re-order?
A: Once DSTLRY pulls its inventory out of the Diamond warehouse, we will make our backlist titles available from PRH under the new terms. As of May 21, Diamond has some - emphasis on some - DSTLRY stock on-hand, and are continuing to sell our backlist books on their end.
Q: Is PRH still going to "sub-distribute" DSTLRY’s single issues via Diamond US?
A: PRH is transitioning away from Diamond US and will not be shipping books after June 25th. Sadly that means if you ordered Warm Fusion #3 or Life #5 from Diamond on 5/11 and 5/18 FOC, those items will not ship as they were schedule to be on sale AFTER 6/25. Please make sure you move those orders over to PRH directly. If you are a Canadian retailer, your orders with Universal are not impacted.
Q: What is the current status of previously solicited and FOC'd titles that I have with Diamond?
A: PRH will start handling our single issues in June, and we are cancelling all Diamond initial orders on everything not FOC’d and the previously FOC’d Defiant #1. Hardcovers will be available from PRH at a later date, and we’ll be communicating that date as soon as we have it.
Q: Can other international comic shops order from Penguin Random House?
Yes. Please contact PRH for more information.
Q: I have comics to return to Diamond. Will you be honoring those returns?
All returnable product purchased by retailers through Diamond will need to be returned to them.
