Comic Terminology

Issues

A single instalment of a comic book series. Usually around 20-30 pages long and is released on a regular schedule, often monthly. Each issue tells a self-contained story that is part of a larger narrative arc that unfolds over multiple issues.

An omnibus is a large, hardcover book that collects multiple comic book issues or entire story arcs in a single volume. These volumes are typically much larger than a regular comic book, and are often printed on high quality paper.
